For small-business owners, reading and responding to complex, lengthy and detailed solicitations can be one of the biggest learning curves when they first start selling goods or services to the government.
Janean Forsyth and Deb Farris will discuss the subject during a Wyoming APEX Accelerator two-part workshop titled “Reading and Responding to Government Opportunities” Tuesday and Wednesday, Aug. 1-2, from noon-1 p.m. To register, go here. Attendees can sign up for one or both events. Registration is free.
Wyoming APEX Accelerator, part of the Wyoming Small Business Development Center (SBDC) Network housed at the University of Wyoming, is the state’s expert in government contracting assistance.
Part 1 of this series will walk small-business owners through a real-life solicitation with tips, tricks and hacks to make reading and responding easier. Part 2 will focus on crafting a proposal in a way that is efficient, compliant and stands out from the crowd.
Forsyth is the Wyoming APEX Accelerator program manager, and Farris is deputy district director for the Wyoming Small Business Administration (SBA).
For more information, call Maureen Johnson, marketing, communication and database manager for the Wyoming SBDC Network, at (307) 343-0925 or email mjohn125@uwyo.edu.
The Wyoming SBDC Network offers business expertise to help Wyoming residents think about, launch, grow, reinvent or exit their business. The Wyoming SBDC Network is hosted by UW with state funds from the Wyoming Business Council and funded, in part, through a cooperative agreement with the U.S. SBA.
