The UW English Language Center offers credit courses in English for Academic Purposes (EAP), which are valuable language and academic skills classes designed specifically for international students. Several of these 3-credit EAP courses fulfill UW COM requirements and are available to both undergraduate and graduate students.
International Graduate Students can find cultural introductions, cohort friends, and language support through the English Language Center's International GA and TA support programs. Every semester we offer specialized Cultural Orientations and Teaching Workshops to help students acclimate to the community, to academic culture, and to their role as graduate assistants in their programs. All graduate students, in any major, seeking language skills and cultural support are welcome!
