Annual lab events
It has been a lab tradition to hike in various mountains near laramie, these include the Medicine Bow Peak within the Snowy-Range Mountains (elevation 12013 feet), Pikes Peak (Mount Elbert 14,439', Longs Peak 14,259')in ColoradoRocky Mountain National Park, and Grand Teton National Park and or Yellow Stone National Park (Wyoming).

Sun lab regularly attend professional meeting such as Society for Neuroscience meeting, and local regional scientific meeting such as Front Range Neusoceicne Annual meeting (Fort Collines) and Rocky Mountain Neuroscience annual meeting (Denver).
