THE ÒMÓ WORD

The ÒMÓ Word is a dark comedy set in Laramie Wyoming a decade after the death of Matthew Shepard and is about a Mormon college professor. Not only must this professor deal with the Chekhovian world of academia and political correctness but he must also confront his own homophobic tendencies when he discovers that has been assigned a teaching assistant who is gay.

The professor does everything in power to appear to be politically correct but soon discovers that the campus and community are driven by fear, where taking offense is de rigueur and accusations of intolerance are a form of professional survival.
