Audition and Interview Dates


Thank you for your interest in the University of Wyoming and in particular the Department of Theatre and Dance. Click below for Audition and Interview Dates:

If you need additional information or help with arrangements for either the theatre or dance auditions, please call the UW Theatre and Dance main office at 307-766-2198. We will be happy to help you in any way we can. We look forward to meeting you!

*Please note that UW Theatre & Dance is not able to hold a high school Theatre Intensive this year, as the department will be hosting the Region VII Kennedy Center American College Theatre Festival from February 17th through 23rd.

 

Theatre Auditions and Interviews

The scholarships we have are highly competitive, so we invite you to audition before our entire faculty at our acting, playwriting, and technical scholarship auditions held here on the University of Wyoming campus:



PROSPECTIVE STUDENTS: Saturday, February 9th, 2008, at 1:00 p.m.
LOCATION: Crane Studio, Fine Arts Building

We also invite you to attend any of our workshops on Friday, February 8th, 2008, and attend a performance of ALMOST, MAINE. Please let us know in advance if you would like a tour of our department and whether you'd like to sit in and observe classes or see the show. We'll make arrangements for the classes that most interest you.

If you feel you can join us on February 9th, please fill out the appropriate on-line forms and return them to us by Jan. 30th.

If you are unable to audition on February 9th, please call and we can set up a different audition time. If you cannot attend any audition/interview in person, please send your audition/interview as a 1/2" VHS videotape, a DVD, or an mpeg file by January 30th to the mailing or E-mail address listed below. Please note that audition VHS tapes and DVDs are non-returnable.

All scholarship applications and three (3) letters of recommendation must be received by January 30th whether you will be on campus or signing up for a different time in order to be eligible for consideration. We STRONGLY encourage you to apply on-line.

Dance Auditions and Interviews

The audition date for dance scholarships will be held here on the University of Wyoming campus:

PROSPECTIVE STUDENTS: Saturday, February 9th, 2008 at 2:30 p.m.
LOCATION: Mains Dance Studio, Fine Arts Building

We also invite you to attend our Dance Workshops on February 9th before the auditions. See schedule here.
