Global Competition for Energy: Wyoming and the World

As an energy state, Wyoming is at the center of the national and global energy debate. The focus of this symposium will be on the geopolitics of energy, with a specific focus on the central role that the U.S. and Asia play in the global energy equation. A range of issues will be discussed including “peak oil”, challenges to U.S. national security, the role of China, Russia and Asia in global energy markets, and the broader global energy business environment.
