Amber Peterson I started at the University of Wyoming with an associate's degree in-hand. What made UW appealing was the fact that I was able to get my bachelor's degree through their online education program. Had any in-person classes been required, I wouldn't have been able to attend UW primarily because I'm a mother of two, married, and have a full-time job in law enforcement in another town/county; traveling 2-3 hours for classes was not going to work. The online education program has been easy to manage; the website is easy to navigate, the instructors are very good at communicating the assignments and what is expected, and I was able to do the assignments at my own pace. That's the benefit of the online education program at UW, plus I've met some awesome instructors along the way that I've kept in contact with. Without the online education program at UW I wouldn't be able to graduate this Spring with my bachelor's degree. Having a degree from UW will help me in my career when being looked at for promotions. In law enforcement, you never stop learning and my education is something that can never be taken from me. Without UW's online education program, it wouldn't have been possible to get where I am. |
Sierra Hernandez The Criminal Justice Distance Program at the University of Wyoming has helped me move one step closer to pursuing my career goals through flexibility and stimulation by linking my community college experience perfectly to my university experience. I really appreciated how easy it was to smoothly transfer into the learning atmosphere that the University of Wyoming offers. |
