Dr. Hickman has worked in site, district and state level leadership positions including as an associate superintendent for curriculum, instruction and human resources and as a superintendent. She is focused on research and teaching in the areas of systemic change and implementation, superintendent preparation, and the impact of political constructs such as local control on student achievement and district outcomes.
