To receive your WyoOne ID you must present a government issued photo ID

e.g. drivers license, passport, state identification card or a military ID

  • Building access (program/department specific)
  • Dorm and Apartment access
  • Half Acre Gym (membership needed for part-time students and Faculty/Staff)
  • Debit style features (C$ and D$)
  • Washakie dining hall (for those with meal plans)
  • University libraries

WyoOne Card Care:

  • Keep track of your card!
  • Do not punch a hole in your card.
  • Do not bend your card.
  • Do not wash your card.
  • Do not expose it to extreme heat or cold.
  • Do not use it as an ice scraper
  • Be mindful of magnets and static

 

There is a replacement fee for any lost, stolen or damaged cards.

 

 

Obtaining a Card

Students have the option to upload their photo online through their WyoRecords checklist on WyoWeb.

For Freshman who have uploaded a photo, or have had it taken at a New Student Day event, their WyoOne ID Cards will be pre-printed and ready at their assigned dorm during move-in. 

For those who have not uploaded a photo or will not be living in the dorms, please come by the office, during open hours, to have a photo taken and ID printed. We are located in the lobby of the Information Technology building, in the back east corner. A government issued, photo ID (driver's license, passport or military ID) is required when you come in to pick up your first WyoOne ID. 

Your first card is free. There is a replacement fee for any lost, stolen or damaged card. You will use the same ID for your entire academic career at UW.

All UW employees are eligible for a WyoOne ID card after the appropriate hiring papers have been processed through Human Resources.

A WyoOne ID Card can be requested and mailed to students and employees outside of Laramie.

A spouse is a spouse/partner with whom the UW student/employee is in a committed relationship and shares an address. A dependent is a 1) child (natural, legally adopted or step child) under the age of 18, or 2) an adult for whom the UW student/employee is a legal guardian.

Please fill out the Spouse/Dependent request form to begin the process. 

The cost for a Spouse/Dependent card is $25.00. There is a replacement fee for any lost, stolen or damaged card.

Cooperating agency employees are eligible for a WyoOne ID card after the appropriate paperwork has been processed by Human Resources.To receive an WyoOne ID card please come by the office, during open hours, to have a photo taken and ID printed. Some programs on campus require students to acquire a program badge, indicating they are students of the relevant study. Your program will inform you if you need to get one, as well as when you can come in. The photo on your badge will match the photo on your Student ID.
Students in the Pharmacy, Nursing, or BRAND programs will need to purchase your badges. The cost is $9.00, and the badge is picked up from the ID Office.
Students in the Pre-service Education program will have their badge fee covered. Your badge will be delivered to the Office of Teacher Education for pickup.

For Distance Students please fill out the ID or Badge Mail Request form and select what badge is needed, as well as any relevant fields, and your badge will be mailed to you. 

WyoOne ID cards can be pre-printed for easier pick up by request. Requests need to be made through our Pre-Print Personal ID Card Request form. We will need a photo on file, or one attached with the ticket, in order to fulfill the request.

The photo submitted will be used on your ID, and as such needs to display your face clearly. In addition, it must:

  • Have a white background
  • No hats or sunglasses
  • Natural facial expression
  • Face forward – the head cannot be tilted
  • No professional, edited or filtered photos
  • Cannot be a picture of a picture or other ID
  • Make sure to upload a .jpg or .jpeg file
