Take a tour of the Buchanan Center for the Performing Arts, the home of UW Music.
Small enough for personal attention, yet large enough to support musical activity at the highest level, the UW Department of Music offers innovative and challenging curricula that prepare graduates for 21st century opportunities. We welcome students from diverse backgrounds and the array of musical interests they bring to our campus. We encourage self-discovery and collaboration through classroom, studio, and performance experiences where students gain tangible skills to forge their unique paths.
We resolve to extend our shared artistic community to enrich the lives of those we encounter through passionate performance and transformative engagement. As artist/teachers, we strive to model excellence in the creation, performance, scholarship, and pedagogy of our art and instill the humanistic values and benefits of life-long music-making in all students, regardless of major.
The University of Wyoming is accredited by the National Association of Schools of Music.
