UW’s Wyoming SBDC Network Podcast Interviews Owner of Rock River Animal Sanctuary

The Wyoming Small Business Development Center (SBDC) Network podcast this month features an interview with Jennifer Clark, founder of J&J Second Chance Small Holdings. The small business, located in Rock River, provides rescue and sanctuary for goats and many other animals -- over 170 in all.

The podcast features small-business success stories, educational topics from experts and interviews with staff and leadership. Episodes are typically released twice per month.

The Wyoming SBDC Network offers business expertise to help Wyoming residents think about, launch, grow, reinvent or exit their business. The Wyoming SBDC Network is hosted by the University of Wyoming with state funds from the Wyoming Business Council and funded, in part, through a cooperative agreement with the U.S. Small Business Administration.

In the episode launched April 17, Clark sat down with the Wyoming SBDC Network to discuss the expansion of J&J Second Chance Small Holdings from a nonprofit organization to a small business over the last few months and how that transition has helped her plan and fund new growth.

J&J Second Chance Small Holdings focuses on rescuing, rehabilitating and rehoming goats as well as cows, miniature donkeys and miniature horses. For those animals that cannot be rehomed, J&J Second Chance provides the animals sanctuary. J&J Second Chance offers entertainment and therapeutic opportunities for both humans and animals to have a second chance at life.

Other animals located at the sanctuary include birds, cats, chickens, dogs, geese and turkeys.

This Wyoming SBDC Network podcast episode and others can be found on Spotify and Amazon Music. Episodes are available at no cost, as are all Wyoming SBDC Network services.
