 Wyoming AI (WyAI)

What is WyAI?

WyAI is a collaborative initiative with the School of Computing and the Learning Design and Technology program. The goal of WyAI is to explore the intersection of of ethics and artificial intelligence offering a way of ethical thinking in the ever-changing technological landscape.

Our Goal

The goal of WyAI is to provide a structured approach to building a strong ethical foundation around AI usage through a variety of educational experiences. The initiative will host a series of talks led by experts in AI ethics, technology policy, and academia, each addressing critical questions around the responsible use of AI in research, education, and beyond. These discussions will examine real-world case studies, ethical dilemmas, and emerging trends, encouraging participants to think critically about the broader social impacts of AI.

In addition to invited speakers, WyAI will offer a curated selection of resources, including reading materials, case studies, and workshops, designed to deepen understanding and application of ethical principles in AI. These resources will equip attendees with practical tools to evaluate AI technologies, understand potential biases, and implement ethical frameworks in their own work. By combining theoretical insights with practical guidance, WyAI aims to cultivate a culture of ethical AI thinking across academia.
