The School of Teacher Education at University of Wyoming has been preparing the best teachers for Wyoming since 1914. We are nationally accredited by National Council for Accreditation of Teacher Education (NCATE) and are approved by the Wyoming Professional Teaching Standards Board. We offer Bachelors and Post-bachelors programs that will put you on the path to gaining your teaching licensure. Our graduate certificates, Master's program and doctoral degrees help you gain additional endorsements on your teaching or move into leadership roles and academic positions.
FACULTY
Our passionate and supportive Faculty have extensive classroom experience teaching in a variety of different classroom environments and settings. The school is also home to four endowed faculty members in literacy education, mathematics education, and science education.
TEACHER PREPARATION & ADVISING OFFICE
The Teacher Preparation & Advising Office staff members assist in all aspects of our teacher education program. Learn how they can answer questions and support your needs related to advising, academic issues, field experiences, scholarships, and gaining your teaching license.
FACILITIES
Programs are delivered on-campus in Laramie, at UW at Casper or online via UW at a distance. The School of Teacher Education is home to the UW Literacy Research Center and Clinic, which is a hub for literacy research and allows our students to gain experience working with children.
