UW Staff Recognition Day Scheduled April 13

“Arcade Fun” is the theme for the University of Wyoming’s Staff Recognition Day Thursday, April 13, from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. in the UW Conference Center.

The annual event honors UW’s hard-working staff and provides an opportunity to demonstrate how much staff members are appreciated for all they do. Food, games, prizes and awards will be presented during Staff Recognition Day.

“This provides an opportunity to show all of our staff members how much they are appreciated for everything they do to keep the UW campus and the facilities throughout the state functioning and providing a top-notch educational experience to thousands of students,” organizers say.

Among the highlights of the event are presentations of individual staff awards and the Staff Employee of the Year award.

Two hours of release time will be granted to staff members to attend the event. The scheduling of release time should be a collaborative discussion between employee and supervisor to ensure the effective and efficient operation of the unit.
