    State, national and international media frequently feature the University of Wyoming and members of its community in stories. Here is a summary of some of the recent coverage:

    WyoFile reported that Brian Anderson, executive director of the Interagency Working Group on Coal and Power Plant Communities and Economic Revitalization, said the agency will match previously denied Wyoming coal community grant proposals with other granting opportunities. Holly Krutka, UW School of Energy Resources (SER) executive director, was interviewed for the article.

    Wyoming News Now interviewed UW Professor Bryan Shader about the new School of Computing planned on campus.

    UW political science Professor Jim King was interviewed by WyoFile on U.S. Rep. Liz Cheney’s record-setting fundraising and what it means when she begins campaigning in the Cowboy State.

    Global Mining Review published UW’s release noting that student Nadia Dworian will work with U.S. Gold Corp. on the Copper King Gold Project, located near Curt Gowdy State Park. She will collect geological data.

    UW’s SER received a $500,000 commitment from energy company Williams to help develop a Hydrogen Energy Research Center. H2 View and Hydrogen Central both published UW’s announcement. Williams published its own release announcing the donation.

    Laramie Live and Wyoming News Now published UW’s release noting that the Division of Kinesiology and Health’s Healthy Kids Round Up program will offer training to middle school students, as well as equip physical education teachers with resources to provide healthy lifestyle improvements for Wyoming students.

    The Wyoming Center on Aging at UW is providing educational programs during American Heart Month this month. Hits106 published UW’s announcement.

    Western Ag Reporter interviewed UW Extension entomologist Scott Schell about the direction the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency is headed with decisions that restrict access to safe and necessary crop protection products.

    IMPACT 307, a business incubator program at UW, is expanding statewide. Wyoming News Now published UW’s release on its website.

    Wyoming News Now reported that Sarah Hankins, a UW mechanical engineering doctoral student, recently won the Harry H. and Lois G. Hilton Student Paper Award in Structures in the Aerospace Design and Structures Group Student Paper Competition.
