Welcome to Wellness in the WEST

Wellness in the WEST (Where Everyone Strengthens Together) is the University of Wyoming’s comprehensive wellness program dedicated to supporting the mental, emotional, and physical well-being of our entire campus community—employees and students. Because the State of Wyoming recognizes the need for mental health awareness and resources for all UW stakeholders, the University of Wyoming created Wellness in the WEST - Where Everyone Strengthens Together.

At Wellness in the WEST, we recognize that well-being extends far beyond the individual. It’s about building a thriving, resilient community where everyone feels empowered to seek support and prioritize their well-being. Our holistic approach addresses the unique needs of students, faculty, and staff, offering a range of services designed to enhance wellness across all aspects of life—academic, professional, and personal.

At WEST, we know that if our individuals feel supported, encourages, and inspired, then our entire campus community will thrive and help everyone—especially our students—reach their goals. WEST brings all our tremendous campus resources to one place—making them more accessible to our entire Poke community.

Personalized Support

Our team of mental health professionals and Wellness Coordinators provide personalized guidance to connect you with the right resources for your needs, from counseling services to peer mentoring.

Workshops and Skills Development

Participate in workshops covering topics like stress management, mindfulness, relationship building, and self-awareness. These interactive sessions are open to everyone on campus and provide practical tools for maintaining mental well-being.

Our view of holistic wellness is rooted in the 8 interconnected dimensions of the wellness wheel. Our wellness work together is designed to sustain overall health and well-being. Check out all our great campus resources that support students and staff on campus.
