Meet with a trained writing consultant up to four times per week to receive help with any writing project, at any stage of the writing process. If you would like a real-time consultation, choose a Face-to-Face or Video Conferencing appointment. If you don't want to meet a writing consultant, we have an asynchronous option called Review and Return.
The Writing Center is located in Coe Library, Level 1. We are open Monday-Friday and are closed on the weekend. Here are our hours of operation:
Please check our Fall 2024 Schedule to see available openings for the Writing Center. If this is your first time visiting the Writing Center, you will need to make an account (separate from UW login).
If you would like a consultant from the Writing Center to visit your class (in person, or via Zoom) for an introduction to the Writing Center, please fill out the request form. We also offer customized workshops on topics such as brainstorming, citation help, paragraph structure, and job application materials with at least 2 weeks' notice. Our Workshop Coordinator, Cady Favazzo, will be happy to discuss special requests with you. Please email her at cfavazzo@uwyo.edu.
Check out the 'Useful Resources' tab at the top of the page for 25+ handouts you can use in your classroom.
If you are looking for teaching support or course development ideas, consider contacting the Elbogen Center for Teaching and Learning, or Communication Across the Curriculum (for COM courses).
