The University of Wyoming’s Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) program prepares you for modern healthcare through hands-on learning, clinical training and personalized support. Students are admitted to the professional program following a pre-professional program of not less then two years in length with a total of at least 62 semester credit hours.

Tuition & Financial Planning

Understand the costs of your PharmD program and plan ahead. Tuition, fees and additional program-related expenses vary by residency and year. UW provides resources to help you navigate your financial commitment and make informed decisions.

Tuition Overview

PharmD tuition varies by residency and program year, with additional charges for materials, lab fees and experiential learning. Students enrolled in 12+ credits are considered full-time. A one-time, nonrefundable seat deposit guarantees placement in the program and is applied to first-semester tuition. Use UW’s Cost of Attendance Calculator to plan and estimate costs.

Financial Aid & Classification

For financial aid, PharmD students are considered graduate students. Wyoming students who receive Hathaway will still be eligible for the scholarship during their first two years. Support includes scholarships, federal aid and program funding—details available through UW’s Financial Aid Office.

Doctor of pharmacy licensure

The University of Wyoming Doctor of Pharmacy Professional Degree Program has a licensure component after program completion. Students will be required to take and pass two examinations to qualify for licensure.
